Not sure, but the food was exceptional!
We found this great restaurant today, the food is out of this world. Whoever there chef is, the flavors are above and beyond good. We had stuffed mushrooms and fried clams, they were the best ever. The staff is amazing too, we just can't say enough about them and the food. Were on a 3500 mile camping trip and this is our 4th stop this year and by far the best restaurant we've found.
On vacation with my wife friendly staff ...and a local hangout which is always A+
Cheapest twin lobster I've had in old orchard. How ever the bisque was way too greasy and tasted like butter. My girlfriend had baked stuffed shrimp and they were horrible. The 3 course menu is a cheap option however you get what you pay for..
It was more like dinner food
Ordered take out, it came out quick and was very delicious. Shrimp Caesar, haddock, chicken tenders were all great.
Most delicious food ever! Seafood is spectacular, employee's are very nice, and are great people, and Tracy, she is so nice, she waits on tables, she is always there to make sure your are happy, and plenty of food, drinks, wonderful lady! If you haven't been there yet, your missing out.
Always a great place, homey and awesome staff. Food is always fresh, hot and delicious. Priced fairly and affordable ❤️
Food was overpriced, tables have tape on the edges because their falling apart, staff is ignorant on how ID systems work. As a traveler, in Rhode Island REAL ID, is a acronym for the type of ID, not that it isn’t an ID. The lobster roll is just shredded lobster on a bun. French fries were okay, that’s why I gave it two stars. The French onion soup shouldn’t be served “warm”. In all, another few feet down the road, The Pier is fantastic! Oh, actually, for how gross the bathrooms smell and the angry pelican starting at me while I pee, I've moved it down to one star.
Katie was great bartender. We had never been to this place before and so happy we stopped in. She makes a great drink and makes you feel at home. Stop in you will be glad you did!
Absolutely amazing, our waitress Tracy was so awesome, we actually had her twice while we've been here on a long weekend, the food is to die for, lobster roll, lobster bisque soup, the burger, shrimp, scallops, lobster over linguine and alfredo sauce, steak with mushrooms, onions and shrimp, absolutely mouthwatering, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, we will definitely be back on our next trip to old orchard beach Maine, you guys were amazing, great staff, great service...see you next time 🌞😎🍔🍜🥣🍽🍹
Surprisingly excellent food and hometown vibe. Strongly recommend
Good food, bad drinks (and condiments). We had lobster, fried clams and scallops, clam chowder and it was good. The margaritas were very bad and the ketchup was watered down. Prices were reasonable! Would come back, but order beer and bring my own Heinz.
Went in to the restaurant with my family (group of 6) we had a good time. Drinks were good, seafood was good, they make their own Ranch dressing which was probably the best I’ve ever had. Prices were THE BEST ON THE BEACH and service was too. Place could be updated but so could every other place at OOB. I’d go again.
Decent enough. Won't blow your mind but a solid place.
An nice American restaurants. The staffs are really friendly. Loved their onion rings.
We were in OOB at the very end of their season in mid-October. Bell Buoy as well as many other places close for the winter on Columbus Day weekend, which is when we visited. If you are traveling between then and spring, make sure where you want to go is open! I was pleasantly surprised with Bell Buoy, as I am a little leery of many restaurants in heavily tourist areas, there is so much business do you even have to be good? ... but Bell Buoy was genuinely good. We did not have the lobster, but many people were. I had a baked fish which was quite tasty and my companion had chicken marsala also tasty. Ambiance is basic with a full bar on one side and boths on the other side and tables in back. I am sure in season this place is mobbed, but when we were there no wait and easy in and out with friendly, prompt service. I would recommend it as a reasonably priced and good OOB option to beach food which there is plenty of there.
Food is great. Service is typically always good if you can get there before the line starts. Lobster roll is a must have at this place.
An institution at Old Orchard Beach for as long as I can remember. Looks like it's had a recent upgrade and it's very bright and cheery on the inside.I had the fried clams and I think that they were better than Woodman's of Essex and most other places noted for their fried clams.Onion rings were extra crispy and my bartender and server Courtney was a complete Delight!
Great service, loved the food too, worth the trip
Service was a little slow, and the waitress, while friendly, never refilled our drinks or brought the ranch we asked for several times. The food was good, but lukewarm at best.
Went there on the recommendation of local trolley driver last Saturday Boy what a mistake!! I should have turned around as soon as we entered ,the hostess very rude And when I saw 5or 6 tables that were waiting for someone to wait on then I should have left!Nevertheless we stayed and to my surprise we waited over 20 minutes for a waitress to acknowledge usWhen other folks that came in after us they had there orders taken before us! The food terrible!!Won’t return on future trips to area
The food was Awesome. Great service from our bartender Katie! Thank you Katie for a Great Experience.
Linda and her staff are amazing and some of the BEST seafood around. I'm very picky and this is fabulous! I keep telling her that she needs to charge more for her lobster rolls! <3
Everything was great. Food, service and price. Had the 3-course dinner for $23.95. Lots of seafood on the menu which I was in the mood for.
Went here on a monday night and the place was packed. We had a larger party and the table felt cramped with 6 of us. We had a wide variety of their dishes from pasta, to seafood, to American and it was mediocre. The $23.99 combo seemed worth it to get a salad, appetizer and entree but the salad was barely 4 bites of salad which was disappointing because it was the best part of my meal.
Great service. Great prices. Great food.
I visit this place every year when I am in Maine. The decor and facilities are outdated but it is part of the charm! Drink deals hardly change year to year so I LOVE the consistency, it keeps me coming back! Food is also really good for the price point. $3 mimosas are the best!! The only advice would be to look at renovating a little, adding a patio or a big window that can open to encourage sun chasers to also visit while being able to still take in the summer air!
Great food, prices and service.Tracy was awesome!Get here before 5 if you want to avoid a wait.
The food is incredible wait staff is super friendly
We loved this place! Really good steamers and swordfish, service was good. Prices were good. Hope to return again.
The calamari appetizer was delicious. Sauces perfect. Lobster rolls nicely filled. Wait staff friendly and welcoming to us.
Prices were descent but food was bland . Staff offered desert without realizing we still haven’t received main meal.Understaffing was definitely not an issue, maybe overstaffed which caused quite a bit of confusion. Hopefully they were just having a bad night, but seemed like many couples disappointed
Nice quiet place, food is good, prices are reasonable.
Good food at decent prices. Friendly staff.
This place was excellent. Great service, food and prices. Would go again
The service was nice and the waitress was super nice.. food was great and delicious. If I'm ever there at the beach again I will definitely go there for lunch.
My gf and I ordered clam chowder, lobster roll and lobster alfredo. The clam chowder was very thin, to the point that it's water. The lobster on the roll was cut up very small and each bite had more bread than lobster. Everything was bland, we had to really hit everything with salt and pepper. For the price we paid around $50 for everything, it's not worth it.
The food is tasty and the service was good. The lasagna and the scallops pasta were really good but the stuffed shrimps were missing some flavor and the chicken was a bit overdone.
I was very disappointed. I had heard good things about the Bell Buoy but our experience was not good at all. My lobster roll was par at best. My wife had watery sauce in her pasta. My daughter got under cooked chicken in her chicken parmesan. When the server attempted to get the $7.95 item removed for us, (thanks for trying) as the chicken was inedible, the manager only took 1/2 off ($3.98) of the dish price bringing our $114 bill down to $110. Why bother... It shows lack of respect for the customer. Very dissatisfied, and with so many other choices in OOB, I will pass on this one from now on.
This is what I'm talking about! We had the haddock sandwich and clam chowder Outstanding haddock and chowder. Price is right. Many many priced right choices. Kid friendly! Nothing like Maine Seafood!
Love the fresh food. Always made to order. Worth the wait
Delicious food and drinks! Service and patrons make for a comfortable and fun place to grab a bite and drink!
Ordered a small lobster roll, lobster stew, mariners stew. Aweful!!! The lobster roll was on a burger bun with lettuce. Lobster tasted like it was drained in fresh water. Not the “Maine” lobster taste I hoped for. The butter was strait oil. The fries it came with were barely warm. The lobster stew had one small lobster claw and cream base with loaded butter taste. The mariners stew was much the same. Service was good. The meal was definitely not worth the price. Wouldn’t recommend.
We all come here every year that we are in OOB. Was extremely disappointed with the food. Clam chowder taste was spot on needs to be more thick... My hubby ordered Long island and couldn't drink it was so strong. We ordered the fisherman platter to share the clams were nasty.bthe haddock was good the scallops were delicious. Usually never have a bad experience here.
Good service, and food can be prepared gluten and dairy free, though everything uses the same deep fryer. They can prepare stuff baked or steamed if you ask. Lobsters were well cooked and yummy, and the seafood platter wasn't huge but enough for dad and two preschoolers to sample a variety of exciting new foods.
It was amazing great food excellent service!
I went there once because I saw good reviews on Internet and I was disapointed. The food wasn't as good as I expected it to be. At least the waitress was really nice.
I ordered the fried scallops with fries and coleslaw. You could tell the scallops were sea scallops. They were a good size, fresh and not frozen. A good amount of food for the price as well. My family of four went there for lunch and it was not terribly busy. The service was excellent and would definitely recommend to anyone.
Great local restaurant. All that we needed plus more for our evening meal.
Friendly staff and good pricing
